Dine under thousands of ornaments, holiday lights at this South Shore establishment

A Weymouth restaurant that has an 80-year history in the area has been transformed into a holiday spectacular.

“People walk in, the first thing they do, they take their camera out, they’re taking pictures, making videos,” Venetian owner Eric Papachristos said.

About 6,000 ornaments, 2,700 sparkling lights and hundreds of feet of garland decorate the space.

Papachristos said since a video of the merry makeover was posted on the restaurant's social media accounts, families have come from all over.

“They’re getting dressed up, getting their kids dressed up,” he said. “It feels really good that this is a special occasion for them.”
